The Campus
Situated on a beautiful 10 acre site with a beautiful green area, our campus provides a healthy and peaceful atmosphere for our student’s enjoyment.

Our 33,000 square footage of building infra-structure includes: Spacious classrooms for regular subjects, music and arts, Covered Gymnasium, Soccer field, volleyball and basketball courts, Complete laboratory facilities for language, science and computers, Cafeteria, Parking lot, Complete Library, Two Playgrounds, Beautiful green area.

EABH is proud to offer:

> A curriculum accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools which uses English as the primary language of instruction at all grade levels.
 
> A fully accredited Brazilian program which awards the Brazilian equivalent of a high school diploma (Certificado de Conclusão do Ensino Médio Comum Geral), thus enabling students to take the Brazilian university entrance exams (vestibular).

> An English as a Second Language program to assist incoming students who experience language difficulties.

> A Portuguese as a Second Language program program for non-Brazilians.

> Small classes with an ideal teacher/student ratio, permitting caring individual attention and a well-disciplined learning environment.

> Numerous electives, which include foreign language, computer and fine arts.

> College Board's Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

> A full day program which extends from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. followed by after-school activities.

Arts

Art helps build the citizens of the future.
Our goal is to extend the creative process of making and experimenting with art, using new methodologies for the development of abilities. We are aiming to educate citizens of the future.

Sports

EABH offers interscholastic and athletic programs such as basketball, futsal, voleyball and cheerleading.

We believe that athletics are an important part of education where our students learn about sportsmanship, team spirit, discipline, hard work and cooperation.

EABH competes with other International Schools in Brazil giving our students an opportunity to interact with students from all over the country.

The Faculty

There are 22 full-time faculty members, including 7 U.S. citizens, 15 Brazilians. Of these, 14 have Post-Graduation Certificates.

The Students

The student body is comprised of Americans, Brazilians and other nationalities, giving the school an international character while retaining primarily an American curriculum.

There are about 140 students enrolled at EABH from 15 countries.

About 15% are American, 65% Brazilian, and 20% from other nations, approximately 90 and 50 respectively. The average class size is 10 students.

All students are taught to understand and appreciate the language and culture of the United States, Brazil and the world.
